The CMPower 235 Watt Walkable Semi-Rigid Solar Panel brings higher-capacity solar charging to boat decks, vans, and other installations where a conventional framed module may not be practical. Its 27.4% efficient All-Back Contact (ABC) cells deliver 235 watts from a streamlined, low-profile panel measuring 26 × 58.9 inches (660 × 1470 mm).

Rather than dedicating deck or roof area solely to solar equipment, the semi-rigid construction creates a tougher, supportive surface suitable for walkable installations. A twin-wall polycarbonate backing and J-channel mounting system are included, providing the supporting components needed to integrate the panel into marine or mobile applications.

At the heart of the CMPower 235W panel are new-generation All-Back Contact solar cells. ABC architecture relocates the positive and negative electrical contacts to the back of each cell instead of placing conductive contacts across the sun-facing surface.
Leaving the front of the cells unobstructed provides more active surface area for capturing sunlight energy. Combined with 27.4% cell efficiency, this allows the 235W model to provide substantial charging capacity without requiring the footprint of a large conventional framed panel.

The rear-contact layout also creates a uniform black surface without prominent front-side grid lines, giving the module a cleaner appearance on visible deck and roof installations.

A Walkable Solar Solution for Decks and Roofs

Where traditional rigid modules can turn valuable deck or roof area into unusable space, this panel is designed to become part of the surface itself.

Its 5 mm semi-rigid construction is paired with a transparent twin-wall polycarbonate sheet that provides additional support beneath the module. The backing also creates separation between the panel and mounting surface, allowing air to move underneath rather than placing the solar module directly against the deck or roof.
The supplied J-channels secure the assembly while maintaining a neat, low-profile installation. 

Built for Real-World Shading Conditions

Perfect, uninterrupted sunlight can be difficult to achieve aboard a boat. A mast, boom, rigging, radar, antenna, or rail can cast shadows that move across the panel throughout the day. RV and van installations face similar obstacles from vents and rooftop equipment.

The cell and electrical configuration of this panel is designed for enhanced shade tolerance, improving performance when part of the module is temporarily shaded.

Maintains Better Output as Temperatures Rise

A solar panel exposed to full sun can operate considerably hotter than the surrounding air, particularly when mounted over a boat deck or vehicle roof. Because photovoltaic output decreases as cell temperature rises, the temperature coefficient is an important performance specification.

The CMPower 235W has a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, helping limit the amount of rated power lost as the cells become hotter.

Moving the electrical contacts behind the cells eliminates the prominent metallic grid pattern associated with many conventional modules.
