Our Story
Founded by boaters Tom Trimmer Jr. and Tom Trimmer Sr., Custom Marine Products was built to solve a simple problem: marine solar systems should perform reliably in real offshore conditions, not just on paper.
What started with a small selection of products, including a single solar panel mounted on a pole, LED lighting, and marine accessories, quickly revealed a clear demand. Customers weren’t just looking for accessories, they needed dependable solar power systems that actually worked in real marine environments.
Solar became the focus.
As demand grew, so did the product line. We began developing and supplying a full range of marine solar solutions, including Walkable Solar Panels, Bimini-mounted Panels, Stern Rail-mounted Systems, Complete Solar Kits and Marine Grade Lithium Iron Batteries designed specifically for boats.
Today, Custom Marine Products offers some of the highest-efficiency (24.4%) marine grade solar panels commercially available, delivering more power per square foot than standard off-the-shelf options. But more importantly, we continue to evolve based on what our customers need in the real world. We provide excellent service and premium products.
