Finally, powerful electric outboards that can actually get your boat on plane.
Stealth Electric Outboards brings high-performance electric propulsion to boaters who want the instant torque, quiet operation, and reduced maintenance of electric power without giving up the performance needed for real boating.
The Stealth Switch and Stealth 70HP are designed for planing boats and provide a powerful alternative to conventional gasoline outboards. Both systems are supplied with a remote, battery connection kit, and display for a straightforward DIY installation.
Whether you're repowering a fishing boat, skiff, pontoon, or other planing hull, Stealth offers an electric outboard solution designed around real-world performance.
Choose Your Stealth Electric Outboard
Stealth Switch
High-power electric propulsion for lighter planing boats
The Stealth Switch is a versatile high-power electric outboard designed for boaters who want serious electric performance in a compact system.
All components on the outboard, with the exception of the all-electric power head, can be replaced with parts from a local Yamaha Marine dealer. This can make future service and replacement parts more accessible.
Battery requirements:
- 60V, 72V, or 96V nominal voltage
- 100Ah or greater
- Battery must meet the required continuous-current output
A 96V, 160Ah battery is powerful enough to plane boats with an average wet weight of over 1,000 pounds, depending on the boat and operating conditions.
The Stealth Switch includes:
- Remote
- Battery connection kit
- Display
The complete outboard system weighs approximately 150 pounds, excluding the battery.
Stealth Switch Pricing: $9,995
Battery not included.
A 72V, 100Ah battery may cost less than $1,300, potentially bringing the complete motor and battery system to less than $11,300.

Stealth 70HP
Serious electric power for larger planing boats
When you need more power, the Stealth 70HP delivers the performance of a high-horsepower electric outboard for larger and heavier planing boats.
Like the Stealth Switch, all components on the outboard—with the exception of the all-electric power head—can be replaced with parts from a local Yamaha Marine dealer.
Battery requirements:
- 120V or 144V nominal voltage
- 160Ah or greater
- Battery must meet the required continuous-current output
A 144V, 250Ah battery is powerful enough to plane boats with an average wet weight of up to 2,800 pounds, depending on the boat and operating conditions.
The Stealth 70HP includes:
- Remote
- Battery connection kit
- Display
The complete outboard system weighs approximately 276 pounds, excluding the battery.
Stealth 70HP Pricing: $16,495
Battery not included.
A 144V, 160Ah battery may cost less than $6,800, potentially bringing the complete motor and battery system to less than $23,300.

Why Choose a Stealth Electric Outboard?
Real Planing Performance
Stealth is focused on electric propulsion that does more than move a boat at low speed. With the appropriate motor and battery configuration, these systems are designed to provide enough power to get planing boats on plane.
Instant Electric Torque
Electric motors deliver torque immediately, providing responsive acceleration and strong low-speed thrust. This can make a noticeable difference when accelerating onto plane or maneuvering around the dock.
Serviceable Components
With the exception of the all-electric power head, the outboard components can be replaced with parts available through a local Yamaha Marine dealer. This approach is intended to make servicing and replacement of conventional outboard components more straightforward.
DIY-Friendly System
The Stealth Switch and Stealth 70HP come with a remote, battery connection kit, and display, giving experienced boat owners the primary components needed for a DIY installation.
Choose the Battery for Your Application
Stealth electric outboards are designed around a range of battery voltages and capacities. The battery you select affects available power, performance, weight, and runtime.
For the best results, the motor, battery, boat weight, hull design, and intended use should be considered together.
Which Stealth Electric Outboard Is Right for Your Boat?
Choose the Stealth Switch if:
- You have a lighter planing boat
- Your boat's average wet weight is around 1,000 pounds or less
- You want a lower-cost high-power electric outboard
- You need a lighter motor system
- You want flexibility between 60V, 72V, and 96V battery configurations
Choose the Stealth 70HP if:
- You have a larger or heavier planing boat
- You need significantly more propulsion power
- Your boat's average wet weight can approach 2,800 pounds
- You want the performance of a high-horsepower electric outboard
- You can accommodate a higher-voltage battery system
Always verify your boat's maximum rated horsepower, transom capacity, total load, and electrical requirements before selecting an outboard.
Electric Outboard Performance Starts With the Battery
Unlike a gasoline outboard, an electric propulsion system depends heavily on its battery configuration.
Battery voltage, amp-hour capacity, continuous discharge capability, and total battery weight all affect the performance of your electric outboard. A larger battery can provide greater energy storage, while a battery capable of higher continuous current can allow the motor to deliver more power.
For this reason, battery selection should be treated as part of the propulsion system—not as an afterthought.
Stealth recommends lithium batteries for best performance and allows customers to choose a battery configuration that matches their budget and performance requirements.
If you're unsure which battery configuration is appropriate for your boat, contact Stealth before purchasing.
Ready to Go Electric?
If you're looking for an electric outboard motor with enough power to plane your boat, the Stealth Switch and Stealth 70HP are designed to take electric propulsion beyond low-speed cruising.
Compare the models above and choose the power system that best matches your boat, battery configuration, and performance goals.
