Choose a kit by mounting location

  • Bimini or dodger: Review flexible bimini-mount kits and confirm panel dimensions, attachment method, cable routing, wind exposure, and controller limits.
  • Walkable deck or cabin top: Review walkable semi-rigid kits and confirm approved traffic conditions, support surface, shade, drainage, cable protection, and controller limits.
  • Arch or hardtop: Review rigid arch-mount kits and confirm frame area, panel weight, fasteners, wind loading, and rigging shadows.
  • Dinghy davits: Confirm davit geometry, clearance, weight, wiring route, and swing or loading conditions.
  • Battery maintenance: Review smaller maintenance kits and confirm battery voltage, battery chemistry, controller type, and intended storage use.

Choose by system voltage and energy goal

Group your selection by the actual battery-system compatibility documented for the kit: 12V, 24V, or 48V where supported. Do not infer compatibility from wattage alone. A battery-maintenance kit is not automatically sized to run daily refrigeration, electronics, lighting, pumps, or charging loads.

  • Battery maintenance: Support a stored battery with a smaller array.
  • House-load support: Offset part of the boat's daily electrical use.
  • High-use cruising: Plan a larger array with careful shade, controller, wiring, and battery checks.

What is included?

Kit contents vary by SKU. Each product page should identify the exact panels, charge controller, wiring and connectors, protection, mounting hardware, battery if included, instructions, and components the customer must supply. Do not assume every kit is turnkey.

How many watts of solar do I need for my boat?

Start with daily watt-hours, battery-bank voltage, shading, season, mounting angle, and the amount of energy you want solar to provide. Boat length is not a reliable sizing method.

Can I use a 12V kit on a 24V battery bank?

Not automatically. The panel wiring and charge controller must be compatible with the battery-bank voltage and the controller's input and output limits. Confirm the exact kit documentation before connecting it.

Are walkable kits different from bimini kits?
