I installed the panel in mid-December. The goal was to get a better angle on the sun in order to maintain the batteries over the winters.
I got a nice angle and the panel fit very closely. For my purposes, it was a little long, but worked out ok.
The panels seems to be doing a good job topping up the batteries in the cold, although I suspect that one of the house batteries is sub-optimal.
During this period we have had two nor'easters with winds in excess of 30 knots. The adhesive is holding up very well.
Attached are some photos.
I'll keep you posted over the rest of the winter.
We installed two 155 watt panels, and two 120 watt shade tolerant panels one year ago. These have generated more than enough power to run refrigeration overnight at anchor. The panels are bimini mounted with the shade tolerant versions near the boom. I highly recommend the shade tolerant versions as in practise they perform as well as the higher wattage panels.

I installed four 150W semi-rigid solar panels from Custom Marine Products and had an issue with their output this spring. While we were on video calls to review any potential installation issues we could not identify any reason for the sudden performance loss. Nevertheless they honored the warranty for all panels. To add insult to injury one of the replacement panels was damaged upon arrival and was immediately replaced. This all happened within three weeks after first contact. Their friendliness and support is second to none and the fast response times saved another boating season for us. Custom Marine Products stands out in the marine environment as a first class provider for energy systems.
I wanted to put as much solar as possible on the roof of our van with walkable panels. Tom went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and take my concerns into account to get the best panels for our setup. By the time I was ready to order a slightly better option became available and I’m glad I wasn’t rushed to buy because the ones we ended up with are perfect and work great. We did a unique install given the size and placement of our panels but I got great information about typical installs and considerations. I’m so happy with the panels that I’m hoping to add to our system and will be buying from Tom and his team at custom marine products again.

I bought two 120 watt walkable solar panels from custom marine products for my sprinter van. I had to strategically place the ac, fan, and solar panels on the roof while leaving some room for a walkable deck. Tom was super knowledgeable and helpful helping me pick the perfect size panels. Not to mention these panels are powerful and high quality! Way better than all the other panels on the market. Thanks again Tom!

I bought and installed this unit with Tom's help and advice over email back in 2020 and it has been a huge help ever since. It makes our battery bank seem twice as big and has taken a decent amount of abuse occasionally getting walked on.
I used a pair this past season with good output. I just ordered a third one to allow a bit more charging capacity when sailing offshore for several days. Overall great panels for the price.
Makes wiring several panels in parallel a snap (literally).
Installed 1200watts of panels on my 56' comercial fishing boat in Kodiak Alaska, with salt spray and harsh winters I hardly run my genset. Installation was a breeze with using silicone to mount them. Most the boats in my family fleet have them now and we are all saving big on the fuel bill! Couldn't be happier with the purchace.
I needed a tough solar panel that could handle a rough life. The panels that I kept finding for overlanding seemed like they wouldn't hold up to branches and acorns falling on them. Additionally, I didn't want to remove it constantly as I have a fridge that I'd like to power full time. On top of that, I have a 23Zero tent I need to carry on the roof rack that may partially cover the panel enroute. I couldn't find what I wanted in the overland community so I turned to the Marine folks and found this beast. It's the perfect panel. 110 Watt Semi-Rigid Marine PV Solar Panel paired w/Redarc BCDC1225d charge controller.
Our canvas is only a few years old. So the thought of putting holes on it wasn’t going to work. The magnets worked great!! Highly recommend!!!
Someone answered the phone everytime we called and always had answers. provided everything we needed for a complete installation. We contracted a professional marine installer and she says this is the best supplier she has ever worked with.
Haven't installed it on the boat yet but this a substantial solar panel. Incredibly fast shipping. Also got the regulator and the wiring. I am good to go!
I installed the solar panel on the back deck of my tritoon along with 10 amp controller and 2 150 AH Lithium batteries to keep them topped off and ready for when we go out to the sand bar and run the stereo and fridge all day...Wish I could download a couple pictures to show the install. I know of no other company that makes a walk on solar panel,I was so happy when I stumbled accross CMP's website. this is a very good quality product that should hold up for a very long time.
I wanted to replace my then solar panel installation of 300W with a more powerful set up. I chose set of four CMP22200S panels for a combine power of 800W. During this selection process I'd got a great support and advice from Tom. After re-working my solar arch and installing those new panels I could not be more please with their quality and performance. They are capable to supply their nominal power of 800W as per their specs and maintain my battery fully charged during a day. Great product with outstanding support.
Rarely can one find the level of competent customer service Tom sr. And Tom jr. provide. As has been mentioned over and over, they are available and responsive beyond anything I have ever experienced on line, or for that matter, in person. Once I was convinced that I needed to go beyond my DIY solar power set up on our previous sailboat, I contacted CMP and was guided through the process of selecting the right panels, cables, controllers, and new batteries that would meet our new power needs. We were having all new canvas work done and it was a perfect time to incorporate the new panels with the dodger and bimini . We now have panels delivering a total of 400 watts of power with two controllers and two new LifePo4 batteries. Installation was going to be a challenge to me, but Tom sr. and Tom jr. we’re up to the task of walking me through it. Fortunately I have a wonderful friend who is not electronically challenged and he was able to converse the them on the more detailed aspects of the installation. The finished product is a delight to behold. We have had many folks stop by our slip to look it over and ask questions. We are very happy, off the grid sailors and my CPAP machine and new refrigeration system send along a big thanks! You can’t go wrong with the product quality and the above and beyond customer service from the Trimmers. Thank you, Bill and Siobhan Baines SV Mental Floss

We are the second owners of a Seaward 32RK. The original owners had installed semi rigid solar to the bimini that failed. I spent a long time searching for rigid panels that would fit our boat. Then I came upon Custom Marine Products and saw that they offered the 175W rigid panels. These are ~3'X3' and would fit perfectly above the bimini. Tom Sr. and Tom Jr. were both great to deal with. They helped me get it figured out and had everything I needed to purchase at a fair price. The panels are excellent! They put out everything they should and are very high quality. I couldn't be happier with them. Now we never worry about our house batteries being topped off. If I have a question to this day, they still remember me when I call. I highly recommend their business to anyone I meet. Thanks guys!
I installed two 175 what semi rigid panels, the job turned out great, Tom answered any and all of my questions thoroughly and nicely. I originally called on a Saturday in March expecting to leave a message, Tom answered and we talked for an hour. I new right then and there I would be using his company. Price didn’t matter to me at that point, I wanted good products and support in order to do the job correctly the first time. Tom is good people and I don’t think anyone would regret using his company.
