Sliding Adjustable Aluminum Rail Mounting Brackets for Solar Panels (Marine Grade)
Upgrade your marine solar setup with our Sliding Aluminum Adjustable Rail Mounting Brackets, engineered for boat owners who want a secure, flexible, and drill-free mounting solution for their existing solar panels. Designed specifically for standard 1" sailboat rails, this premium Swedish-designed bracket system allows fast installation and precise positioning—without custom fabrication or tools.
These brackets feature a sliding rail-track design, enabling you to move the brackets forward or backward to perfectly match your solar panel’s mounting holes. Whether you’re installing a 100W or 165W panel, the adjustable spacing ensures a custom fit on virtually any sailboat.
Built from high-strength marine-grade aluminum, the brackets resist UV, saltwater, vibration, and harsh offshore conditions. Once mounted, the system allows your solar panel to tilt and rotate, helping you maximize sun exposure throughout the day or lay the panel flat when docking or navigating tight spaces.
Perfect for sailors who want a durable, low-profile, and adjustable mounting solution—without drilling holes into their deck or rails.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What makes these sliding aluminum brackets different from standard solar panel brackets?
A: These brackets feature a sliding rail-track design that allows the mounting points to move forward or backward, giving you maximum flexibility to match your solar panel’s hole spacing—no drilling or custom fabrication needed.
Q: Do the brackets rotate or tilt?
A: Yes. When installed, the brackets allow manual rotation and angling of your solar panel so you can optimize sunlight exposure or lay the panel flat when docking.
Q: Will these brackets work with any solar panel?
A: They are compatible with most rigid and semi-rigid panels (typically 50W–200W). As long as your panel has flat mounting areas, these brackets can be adjusted to fit.
Q: Can I request a custom size bracket?
A: Yes. We can accommodate custom lengths and spacing if your solar panel has unique dimensions. Simply contact us with your panel’s measurements.
Q: What rail size do these brackets fit?
A: They are designed to clamp securely onto standard 1-inch (25mm) marine rails, commonly found on sailboats and many powerboats.
Q: Do I need to drill into my deck to install them?
A: No. These brackets clamp directly to your rail—no drilling required, making installation clean and reversible.
Q: Are these brackets suitable for harsh marine environments?
A: Absolutely. They are made from marine-grade anodized aluminum, providing excellent resistance against saltwater corrosion, UV exposure, and vibration.
Q: Can I install these brackets myself?
A: Yes. The install is simple and DIY-friendly. We provide guidance, and most installations take only a few minutes.
Q: Do the brackets hold position securely in strong wind or rough conditions?
A: Yes. Once tightened, the brackets stay firmly in place, maintaining stability even in windy or offshore situations.
Q: How do I attach the brackets to my solar panel?
A: The brackets slide along an adjustable aluminum rail. You simply position them where you want them, apply primer to the bracket mounting surface, and then use a strong marine-grade adhesive to bond the brackets securely to the back of your panel. No drilling is required.
Q: What adhesive should I use to install the brackets?
A: We recommend a super-strong marine adhesive. This creates a permanent, secure bond between the bracket and the panel, suitable for marine conditions.
It is not included in the kit, but can be easily obtained on Amazon. We’ve also included a link on our website under Support, Handy Products We Don't Carry
Q: Can these brackets be used on docks, Van rails, or non-marine applications?
A: Yes. While designed for sailboat rails, they can be used on any 1-inch round rail, including RV ladders, dock railings, and van racks.
Q: Can the brackets be positioned anywhere on the panel?
A: Yes. The sliding design allows you to position the brackets anywhere along the mounting track, giving you freedom to match various panel sizes and rail spacing requirements.
Q: How do I mount the brackets onto my boat rail?
A: Once the brackets are attached to your panel, simply open the clamp, slide it onto your 1-inch (25mm) standard marine rail, and tighten it by hand. The bracket will grip the rail securely.
Q: Can I order my solar panel with the brackets pre-installed?
A: Yes. We offer a Pre-Installed option, where we professionally mount and position the brackets for you, so the panel arrives ready to clip onto your rail. See more options here.
