This set includes one male and one female MC4-compatible connector for terminating solar cable.

Designed for use with standard photovoltaic (PV) wire.

  • #10 AWG – Most common size used on standard solar panels
  • #8 AWG – Used for higher amperage systems or larger cable runs

⚠ Connector size must match your wire gauge (#8 or #10).
Most CMP solar panels use #10 AWG leads.

I was wondering what 2 sets of 10 10 pot 8 awg wire with mc4 connectors would cost. Also what are the connectors rated for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The cost would be $5 per set.

Regarding the connectors:
MC4 connectors for 10 AWG wire are typically rated for 30 amps
MC4 connectors for 8 AWG wire are typically rated for 40 amps

Will this connector replace the negative connector on a furion 165W solar panel?
Don't want to rewire the whole panel just the connector.

Yes, the regular MC4s work on the walkable 165s. It is number ten wire coming out. You need to squirt some silicone into the MC4 to keep it waterproof as the wire is thin. This is assuming they are our panels. If not our panels then I can't say for sure.

Hello CMP,
will this fit your CMP 200W walkable solar panel which came with 2x 2mm² wires (pretty thin). Usually these connectors are designed for larger cross sections, like 4mm² or 6mm².

Yes, they fit but you will need to squirt some silicone into the MC4 before screwing it all the way in to keep it waterproof.
